There’s a saying to the effect that, “it’s the little things that matter”. When it comes to your daily diet, there are some foods that actually hinder your efforts to eat healthier. Yes, those pesky “little things” which fly right under your nose, only pretending to be healthy for you.
I found a great slide show called “Food Frauds”, at WebMD.com. Leslie Bonci, a nutritionist with the University of Pittsburgh, provides a telling look at foods appearing to be “healthy” choices, but actually hamper your efforts to eat a balanced diet. These food choices are loaded with calories, sugar, and extra grams of fat. I suggest you check this slide show at WebMD now, not later. Who says Fresh Smoothies aren’t sneaky?
The bottom line: there are alternative food choices for eating healthier. However, how can you make a good decision unless you know the good from the bad?
